Status Report on the Long Term Stabilty of the APS

Abstract:

For the successful operation of an x-ray light source, such as the Advanced Photon Source, the long term stability of the concrete floor supporting the beam components is crucial. Settlements impact the orbit correction as well as the position of the x-ray beam lines. This paper outlines the results of successive settlement surveys of the Advanced Photon Source performed in six month intervals.
