Challenges in cost cutting fixture design

Abstract:

This poster session will show examples of the fixtures and device designs developed by the Survey Alignment Geodesy Group at Fermilab. This will show applications and techniques used and performed to allow the latest Laser Tracker technology and accuracy's to be applied to everyday situations at Fermilab. Actual final design devices will be included to show cost cutting examples of how magnet alignment is accomplished, along with a prototype device to show how hidden points are measured.
